Useful local guides
Find and enquire about a community venue
Start with the City’s venue list and the area booking office.
Match the space to the activity
Decide how many people you expect, what you will do and how long you need the venue. The City’s booking directory includes halls, sports facilities and other spaces; a listing does not mean your chosen date is available.
Prepare a clear enquiry
Tell the area booking office the venue, preferred dates, expected attendance and equipment needs. Ask about capacity, accessibility, permitted activities, staffing, security, furniture and cleaning.
Get the full arrangements
Request current tariffs, deposits, cancellation terms and the booking process. Confirm who can authorise your booking and keep written confirmation. Do not advertise a confirmed venue or pay a third party until you have checked the official arrangements.
