Plan an outing around your access needs

Ask specific questions so the visit works for you.

Describe what you need

Tell the venue about the access arrangements that matter to your party, such as step-free entrances, parking distance, seating, toilets, quieter times or assistance. A general accessibility claim may not answer your particular question.

Confirm the route

Ask about the entrance you should use, surfaces, lifts and any temporary closures. For booked activities, confirm the meeting point and whether an accompanying person needs a ticket. Request practical details before committing to travel.

Keep a backup plan

Allow extra time and choose an alternative that you have also checked. Your passport notes can record what worked for your own future visits. Do not treat a private passport note as a public accessibility certification.
